When fireflies alight

And fireflies take flight

I realize that I love fireflies

They flit around at night

They’re dark and then they’re bright

I give a sigh and I can’t help but smile

It’s time to wind down

So I sing my evening melody

When they blink hello

I know that they are my remedy

For everything

When fireflies alight

That’s when I sing my firefly lullaby
